We are seeking an experienced Grounds & Maintenance Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract . Lead our Grounds & Maintenance team and ensure the park's facilities, gardens and assets are maintained to the highest standard for our members and guests. Surrounded by pristine beaches, incredible marine life and the natural beauty of the Cape Range National Park, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys a hands-on leadership position in an outdoor environment. On-site accommodation is available, making it an ideal opportunity for candidates looking to relocate and live on-site. As the Grounds & Maintenance Manager , you will oversee the presentation, upkeep and safety of the holiday park's grounds, buildings, equipment and facilities. You will lead a small team while also being hands-on in maintaining the property and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. In this role, you will: Lead and supervise the Grounds & Maintenance team, including recruitment, training and performance management. Maintain the gardens, grounds, and landscaping to a high standard. Plan and manage preventative maintenance programs across park facilities and accommodation. Coordinate and supervise contractors completing maintenance work on site. Carry out general maintenance, repairs and upkeep of buildings, plant, and equipment. Maintain and service machinery, tools, and vehicles across the property. Monitor and maintain park infrastructure including water, wastewater, and other essential systems. Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety procedures and safe work practices. Work closely with the Resort Manager and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. Manage maintenance budgets, supplies and equipment within operational guidelines. Be responsible for the afterhours phone several times a week and attend to callouts as necessary. Previous experience in a similar grounds, maintenance, or facilities management role. Previous experience in pool testing and maintenance. Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team. Strong knowledge of gardening, landscaping, and general property maintenance. Experience maintaining machinery, tools, and equipment. Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a dynamic environment. Strong communication skills and a guest-focused mindset. Certificate III in Horticulture, Caravan Park Operations, or a relevant trade qualification (desirable). Current Driver's Licence. Senior First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain). Willingness to obtain a National Police Check. Availability to work weekends and public holidays and respond to occasional callouts. Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract.
