Job Description 3-month contract with a local authority

Summary

• This is a 3-month contract with a local authority to provide high-quality grounds maintenance services across Southern Housing estates. The role is crucial in ensuring that outdoor communal areas, green spaces, and landscaped grounds are well maintained, safe, and visually appealing. The Ground Maintenance Operative will perform various horticultural and environmental tasks, supporting the organization's commitment to creating clean, safe, and attractive environments for residents.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, pruning, and shrub bed maintenance.
• Assist with planting, watering, mulching, and seasonal horticultural work.
• Maintain flower beds, borders, and landscaped areas to agreed quality standards.
• Clear weeds manually or using appropriate equipment.

Requirements

• Essential Experience Required: Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, or similar outdoor manual work.
• Essential Qualifications Required: Full UK Driving Licence (ESSENTIAL).

• Working hours: 7 hours per day
