Grocery Shop Trainee Manager Dublin

We are seeking an experienced grocery retail supervisor or shop duty manager who has a particular understanding of shop floor operations, running stock, maintaining standards, and ideally training new staff members on procedures and best practice, with some supervisory duties such as ordering, key holding or shop minding.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, ambitious, and hardworking individual seeking a long term, progressive career with strong financial growth.

The salary will vary on experience, approximately €35,000 per year, 42 hour contract, with room to grow your salary.

Qualifications
  • Ambitious supervisor or duty manager who has worked in grocery supermarkets or convenience stores, with knowledge of HACCP and a desire to enhance their retail experience.
  • Passion for grocery retail and working with the general public.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to work within a team and on your own initiative.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Shop minding: ensuring the store runs smoothly and maintaining standards while managing the shop on your own during morning or closing shifts.
  • Driving sales, controlling stock levels, managing promotional change over, and ensuring profit margins meet agreed targets.
  • People management: developing and coaching teams, learning performance management, conflict resolution, motivation, and rota planning.
  • KPI and target management: enhancing commercial acumen, controlling costs and driving productivity.
  • Customer service: enhancing the customer experience through training, resolving complaints, and coaching teams.
