Graduate Town Planner - Oxfordshire (Hybrid Working)
Location: Oxfordshire Full-Time Entry-Level Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a multidisciplinary practice of planners, architects, and urban designers for a Graduate Town Planner to join their planning team. With an excellent track record of delivering sustainable, people-focused developments, this award-winning practice works across a wide range of sectors and offers a collaborative and professionally enriching environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent planning graduate to begin their career within a friendly, supportive and forward-thinking consultancy that places strong emphasis on both design and planning excellence.

Role Overview:
As a Graduate Planner, you will support senior members of the planning team across all stages of the development process. You will gain hands-on experience in preparing planning applications and appeals, assisting with appraisals, conducting policy research, and contributing to high-quality planning advice on a wide range of projects - from small bespoke schemes to major mixed-use developments.

What We're Looking For:

  • RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related subject (recent graduates encouraged to apply)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • An interest in high-quality design and sustainable development

  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from experienced professionals

  • Some work experience in a planning-related role (e.g. placement or internship) is beneficial but not essential

What's on Offer:

  • Opportunity to join a nationally respected practice with a multidisciplinary team of planners, architects, and designers

  • Structured mentoring and support toward RTPI Chartership

  • Participation in company-wide CPD events, including site visits, annual away days, and internal workshops

  • Hybrid working arrangements with a supportive and flexible culture

  • Involvement in meaningful community, education, and charity initiatives

About the Practice (Anonymous):
Our client is known for delivering thoughtful, balanced and sustainable planning solutions. Their planning team has a proven track record of success, with a 96% approval rate on applications over the past four years. By integrating planning with architectural and urban design services, they ensure each project is both context-sensitive and forward-looking.

To apply, please send your CV and a short cover letter outlining your interest in the role and any relevant experience.
