We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Planning Analyst to join our company in a newly created role.
Reporting to the Head of FP&A with a dotted line to the Group CFO, the FP&A Analyst will oversee and deliver improvements to management reporting for Acturis, provide support to the business in making informed decisions, and assist with due diligence of potential acquisition targets.
This role will be based in our London office, with a minimum of 2 days in the office following the training period.
Key Responsibilities / DeliverablesBudgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting:
Support the creation of regular and ad-hoc analysis reports and presentations for senior leaders within the business
Conduct P&L, cost, KPI, variance analysis, and other ad hoc analyses as required
Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process across all Acturis platform business verticals
Contribute to continuous improvement of the financial planning process
Business partnering:
Collaborate closely with senior managers, directors, and non-finance colleagues to support customer-driven analysis, resolve reporting queries, and evaluate commercial contracts
Support customer contract value modelling and the impact analysis of deal desk discounts
Develop and maintain white space analysis across services
Analyze insurance market placement data to identify opportunities and trends
Contribute to identifying new opportunities and managing business development and marketing initiatives
Compile, analyze, and report productivity KPIs, working with department leaders to address variances
Support the identification and reporting of billing leakage, overdue billing, and late payments, and implement process improvements to reduce these issues
Strong academic background with a 2.1 degree from a top 30 university
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
Excellent knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
Good understanding of management reporting
Familiarity with Software / SaaS KPIs
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with senior managers
Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in financial modelling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
Flexibility to accommodate colleagues' working hours across time zones and support business needs
