Role Overview:

We are looking for a Building Surveyor to join our team in Brighton. You will work with our clients to build, maintain, and develop buildings that are fit for purpose and beneficial to residents and the community. We value long-term relationships and collaborative work to produce excellent results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and apply for planning and building regulations approval.
• Prepare specifications for tender, undertake tender analysis, and issue tender reports.
• Support senior staff in roles under the Party Wall etc Act 1996.
• Manage specific projects including stock condition surveys and energy performance certificates.
• Assist senior surveyors in contract administration under JCT Contracts.
• Complete inspections within deadlines and diagnose defects through site investigations.
• Produce accurate reports and recommend remedial work.
• Follow health and safety policies at all times.

This list is not exhaustive; you will perform other tasks aligned with organizational objectives.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience as a consultant building surveyor with knowledge of materials and construction types.
• Experience in writing specifications and schedules of works.
• Knowledge of contract administration, especially JCT forms.
• Understanding of planning and building regulations approval process.
• Site inspection experience and ability to monitor progress.
• Confidence in attending meetings with clients and contractors.
• Ability to produce various reports independently.
• Party wall experience is beneficial.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
