Graduate Accountant

Our clients, a retail group in County Kerry are recruiting for a Graduate Accountant to support the financial management and performance of the business across multiple locations. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and providing commercial insights to support strategic decision making in a fast paced retail environment. This is an initial one year fixed term contract with the potential for a permanent position later.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance reports
• Analyse sales, margins, costs, and operational performance across retail locations
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Monitor financial controls and support process improvements
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and month end journals
• Support VAT, payroll, and statutory compliance requirements
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors during year end processes
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ATI)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in accounting or finance roles
• Strong analytical and Excel skills with experience using accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams in multiple locations.

Salary is in the region of €50 - €55,000.
