Graduate - Learning Support Assistant

We're looking for Graduates who have left University in the last 5 years to support Primary Schools across the north of Durham in Learning Support Assistant roles. Here, no specific qualifications are required - we just ask that your degree is relevant to working in education (coaching, support work, counselling, primary/secondary teaching etc) and that you have had employment that is referenceable in the last 2 years.
Learning Support Assistant - Main Responsibilities:- Encouraging independence by helping pupils develop communication and self-management skills
- Supporting learners by providing one-to-one or small group assistance
- Inspire children to engage in lessons consistently
- Maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality, following school policies
- Must have graduated in the last 5 years from a transferable degree (psychology, coaching, education, counselling etc) (essential)
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting children's learning
- Patience and a calm approach to assisting others
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar - or equivalent hands on experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred)

Outline of the Role:- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am - 15:30pm
- £107.71 daily rate
