Overview

Job Title: Graduate Civil Engineer. Location: Slough, UK. Type: Permanent, Full Time (potential for flexible working in future). Salary: £35,000 for new graduates; up to £40,000 for those with up to 2 years' experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to begin or develop their career within a specialised civil and structural engineering consultancy. Working on clean water infrastructure, trunk mains, and network supply projects - including Thames and Affinity Water frameworks - you'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from design and analysis through to site visits and client engagement. You'll be supported by an experienced team while building core skills in design, project management, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, design, and delivery of water infrastructure projects (clean water networks, trunk mains, and associated works).
  • Contribute to civil and structural design using industry-standard software.
  • Participate in site visits, surveys, and project coordination.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards.
  • Assist in preparing technical drawings, reports, and design documentation.
  • Support project and stakeholder management activities.
  • Engage in innovation and sustainability initiatives within project delivery.
What Our Client is Looking For
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or closely related field).
  • Up to three years of professional experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and design or modelling software.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
  • A proactive, detail-focused approach and eagerness to learn.
  • Right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Starting salary: £35,000 (fresh graduate) to £40,000 (up to 2 years' experience).
