Go Engineer - Golang, gRPC, Real Time Systems, Microservices - Renewables Startup - Fully remote contract

We're partnering with an innovative renewables tech startup that's building a Real Time platform to support the shift toward cleaner, smarter energy. They're looking for a Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design and deliver scalable, high-performance services within a modern, cloud-native architecture.

You'll work primarily with Go (Golang), developing Real Time Back End services with gRPC, containerised in Kubernetes, and deployed to the cloud. This role offers the chance to shape a next-generation platform where reliability, performance, and scalability are critical - all while contributing to technology that drives the future of renewable energy.

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years' professional experience in Back End/software engineering

• Strong expertise in Go (Golang) and gRPC

• Experience building Real Time systems and scalable microservices

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes/Docker, and CI/CD pipelines

• Solid understanding of DDD, SOLID principles, and TDD

• Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent technical background)

• Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving startup environment
