We're working with a major player in the European space sector, supporting two high-profile space missions launching in the next 2 years. They are seeking an experienced GNSS Software Expert to join on a long-term freelance basis and help drive forward their navigation systems.

This role focuses on advanced GNSS receiver software, particularly within space hierarchy receiver architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate GNSS software for space-based receivers.
• Implement and optimize navigation algorithms (RTK, PPP, orbit solutions).
• Provide domain-level guidance to software teams and support junior engineers.
• Ensure system readiness for upcoming flight missions.
• Focus on receiver behaviour and performance in orbit.

Profile:

• Expert in GNSS software and space navigation systems.
• Hands-on experience with flight-ready GNSS solutions.
• Strong background in GNSS algorithm implementation.
• Prior leadership or mentoring experience is highly valued.
