Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Global Category Manager, Business Systems & Professional Services, to join the Publicis Groupe Procurement team. This department provides comprehensive procurement solutions within Publicis Groupe, managing the full cycle from sourcing to vendor and contract management. The role is based in our London office. Position Summary:

The Category Manager will oversee strategy and sourcing for high-impact categories such as Enterprise Systems, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, and Insurance. Responsibilities include developing a 3-year category approach, managing RFP processes, leading internal and external procurement activities, challenging specifications, and managing vendor relationships. The role supports the Global Products & Services Procurement Director in implementing procurement best practices, change management, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the category roadmap and oversee the business plan
  • Develop relationships with HR, Finance, and Legal stakeholders
  • Manage the full RFX process from needs definition to contract signing, communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Review and negotiate contracts independently
  • Support sub-categories within Professional Services and Strategic Projects
  • Prepare executive-level reports on project status, market intelligence, and industry best practices
  • Build and maintain key vendor relationships
  • Engage stakeholders to ensure project scope and timelines are met
  • Track savings, cost avoidance, and participate in financial planning
Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in leading or implementing large-scale Professional Services or Business Systems projects
  • Strong attention to detail, financial acumen, data analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of contract law and experience with various contract types
  • Programme management and change management skills
  • Stakeholder engagement and excellent communication skills, including with senior management
  • Negotiation skills
  • Customer-focused attitude
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multi-project procurement environments within a matrix organization
  • Willingness to travel frequently

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in Strategic Sourcing

We offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH. Our main office is located at the iconic Television Centre (TVC) in White City, London.
