Global Medical Writer

Key Responsibilities:
STRATEGY
- Designs Medical Education strategies/programs/activities (ad boards, training activities, Delphi studies, consensuses, etc.) to meet client brief needs. Prepares the proposal and defends it before the client (high-level interlocutors, e.g., medical director, marketing director).
- Leads the implementation of these complex, multi-phase projects, working directly with KOLs in the therapeutic area and managing multidisciplinary teams within the agency.
- Identifies business opportunities in their therapeutic areas for the development of proactive proposals.
SENIOR MEDICAL WRITER
- Designs bibliographic search strategies to address specific client needs, conducting literature reviews and evaluating the impact of selected scientific publications.
- Drafts complex strategic documents (e.g., scientific platforms, competitor analysis) and documents derived from Medical Education activities (guides and reports of meetings with KOLs, scientific slide decks, articles, abstracts, posters, etc.).
- Supervises and guides the writing of other team members, acting as an internal consultant on medical writing matters.
CONSULTANT
- Mentors less experienced medical writers within the agency, especially those who support them on the various projects they lead.
- Acts as the primary scientific consultant for the agency. Trains other departments on scientific topics.
- Masters current legislation in Health comms and stays updated on regulatory changes. Advises the agency on legal matters and ensures compliance with regulations in all projects.
- Manages a complex portfolio of projects, including resource allocation and risk management. Optimizes team efficiency and ensures work quality across all projects.
Requirements:
- University degree in health sciences (medicine, biology, pharmacy, etc.).
- At least 5 years of experience as a medical writer in health agencies or in the health communication sector.
- Experience with global accounts.
- Relevant experience in Medical Education projects (moderating ad boards, developing consensuses or guidelines, accustomed to working with KOLs, etc.).
- Bilingual or very fluent English. Ability to write scientific documents perfectly in English and lead meetings in English.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a team and to guide and train less experienced medical writers.
- Proactivity, passion for health communication, and ability to inspire others.
- Open-minded, flexible, and adaptable to change.
