Job Description

Role Summary:

Working in a matrix structure, the VP Surveys & Inspection is responsible for growing worldwide revenue for Inchcape's Surveys and Inspection Solutions. You will be the Subject Matter Expert for the Surveys and Inspection Sector internally and externally, and will strongly position Inchcape as the partner of choice in this sector.

Contract: Permanent

Location: London, Singapore or Dubai

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Specialism

  • Build and promote yourself as the global subject matter expert (SME) for Surveys & Inspection Sector internally.
  • Establish yourself and Inchcape as the recognised partner in the Surveys & Inspection Sector by growing knowledge base, networking with credible sources and partners, researching trends and actively participating at industry events.
  • Share specialist knowledge and experiences of the sector within the Commercial Team,Regional Survey resources and wider business to enhance Inchcape's value proposition.

Business Planning

  • Create and deliver against a business plan for the Surveys & Inspection Sector with a strong focus on development of new business opportunities.
  • Form a thorough and structured pipeline to support the business plan covering lead generation, qualification and proposal stages to obtain commitment through to sale.
  • Actively participate in the delivery of geographical business plans.

Reporting

  • Responsible for quarterly business plan review with Chief Commercial Officer and key stakeholders.
  • Regular reporting as required by the business.

Account Management

  • Support account owners with regular and structured account calls/meetings with a documented meeting purpose, plan and desired pay-off.
  • Account activity information captured in Customer Relationship Management systems (Salesforce).
  • Ensure account receivables are less than 90 days for all accounts within Surveys & Inspection Sector.

Sales Execution

  • Securing customer commitment and agreement in partnership with account owner.
  • Pricing and rates qualification and agreement with CCO approval.
  • Contract formation with expertise from contracts team and guidance from CCO.
  • Review and follow up after sale is closed.
  • Lead growth of Inchcape products and solutions within Surveys & Inspection Sector.

Collaboration

  • Regular and comprehensive two-way communications across Commercial, Operations and other Inchcape business groups, ensuring clear messaging and facilitation across communication channels.
  • Partner with Commercial colleagues to enhance and strengthen a sales opportunity adjustinglevel of input/involvement based on leading sales person.

Legal and Compliance Practices

  • Ensure customer agreements are in line with local legislation and group policy.

Who you are:

  • 10+ years experience at managerial level within a sales related environment
  • International sales experience in a shipping/port services business.
  • In depth understanding of Surveys & Inspection execution and market dynamics within the shipping industry.
  • Proven ability to manage projects effectively and achieve operational success.
  • Ability to manage and influence through both face-to-face and virtual team environments whilst adjusting communication style for amultinational network.
  • Strong customer relations and business partner relationships, building capabilities across a diverse international group.
  • A self-starter; happy to pitch into the day-to-day.
