Your Role as GL Accountan
Job Description
:We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end accounting process and ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements. This role includes overseeing the closing process, reconciling accounts, preparing management reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The GL Accountant plays a crucial role in month-end and year-end closings, financial reporting, and supporting internal and external audits
Key Responsibilitie
- s:Lead and coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger by reviewing, reconciling, and correcting any discrepancies.
- Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve any variances in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards (Dutch GAAP, IFRS).
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and external regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes, recommending efficiencies where possible to streamline the Book-to-Report cycle.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions.
- Collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in the shared service center) to resolve discrepancies and support accurate reporting.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as needed for decision-making.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on accounting processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP), MS Excel, and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
