The Role

An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Solihull is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join its Humanities department from September 2026 on a supply basis.

The successful candidate will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' understanding of both physical and human geography, environmental issues, global development, and geographical enquiry. You will inspire learners to explore the world around them while preparing them for success in their GCSE Geography studies.

Working within a supportive Humanities department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating an inclusive classroom environment where curiosity and critical thinking are encouraged. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and academic achievement while helping students develop strong geographical knowledge and analytical skills.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
  • Have experience teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident delivering the GCSE Geography curriculum
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Have a genuine passion for Geography and inspiring young people to understand the wider world
