BioMarin's Technical Operations group creates drugs for clinical trials and scales production for the commercial market, ensuring regulatory compliance and supply chain of our therapies.

Position Overview

The GEO Supply Chain Operations Associate is a key member of the Global External Supply Chain Operations team. The Associate supports Contract Manufacturing Operation (CMO) activities related to clinical drug products, coordinating supply needs between CMOs and BioMarin internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage ERP aspects at BioMarin for production at CMO and monitor inventory levels of drug substance, drug product, finished goods, and components at the CMO site.
  • Generate and coordinate purchase orders (POs) and invoice management.
  • Manage shipment coordination, including form completion and inbound/outbound shipments for DS/DP/bulk packs and samples.
  • Conduct inventory reconciliation: manage monthly reconciliation for relevant CMOs, prepare for audits and be SME/point of contact.
  • Coordinate reference standard supply and annual stability samples with Novato and relevant CMOs.
  • Maintain accuracy of Tier 2 Master Data, including planning and GMP production recipes and formulas.
Experience

Minimum requirement of 3 5 years in Operations, Supply Chain or Quality.

Education

BS/BA in life sciences, business, or supply chain management.

Required Skills
  • Good understanding of the processes/unit operations assigned.
  • Ability to guide and support cross functional teams for short term issue resolution and long term performance.
  • Experience with CAPA, FMEA, RCA tools in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, commercial acumen.
  • High level of initiative, questioning, and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in supply planning or inventory management, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Working knowledge of GXP regulations.
Desired Skills
  • Clinical packaging operations/supply chain.
  • Cold chain logistics knowledge.
