Job Description
The Role
  • To work under the supervision of registered therapy staff to assist patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service.
  • Implement, adapt and progress treatment programmes within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
  • Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes across a variety of clinical settings.
  • Discharge or transition care within agreed protocols and defined parameters.

Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work.

What well need you to bring
  • HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.
  • Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
  • Full driving licence holder.
  • Knowledge and Skills
  • Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
  • Basic assessment skills.
  • Ability to apply a range of technical and practical rehabilitation skills.
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Ability to work individually, or as part of a team
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
  • Static community post, car owner essential

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have
  • Breadth of experience of therapy or rehabilitation /re-ablement in a health, education or social care environment

This role will be based in Hamilton ICST within Larkhall Health Institute.

The working pattern for this role Monday - Friday days
