As our General Store Manager, you'll lead the planning, strategy and execution of our store's day to day operations across key departments - including Non Food, Online and Customer - to make sure that availability is maximised, waste and shrink are minimised, and our Superstore/Centre runs efficiently, safely and fully compliant. You'll work closely with your Operations Manager and department managers to deliver consistent standards, drive productivity and ensure the store is always ready for customers. You'll improve delivery flow, stock routines and compliance, driving operational excellence. You'll lead with heart as well as results, building an environment where people feel valued, trusted and motivated to step up.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, strategy and execution of day to day store operations across key departments.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager and department managers to deliver consistent standards and drive productivity.
• Ensure availability is maximised, waste and shrink are minimised and the Superstore/Centre runs efficiently, safely and fully compliant.
• Improve delivery flow, stock routines and compliance, driving operational excellence.
• Coach, support and develop the leadership team, encouraging ownership and celebrating initiative.
• Promote collaboration between departments to ensure a seamless customer experience across the Superstore/Centre.
• Use data and insight to make informed decisions, drive operational improvements and lead the shrink agenda.
• Ensure POS one best way is followed across the store, delivering a strong value message for customers.
• Act on opportunity with clear actions and drive the store remains legal and compliant for customers and colleagues.

Required Experience

• Experience as General Store Manager or Operations Manager leading diverse teams in a large format retail environment.
• Strong operational knowledge across food and non food departments with a track record of achieving consistent operational excellence.
• Track record of improving availability, reducing waste and managing shrink.
• Experience developing large teams, managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Experience managing complex ER cases and confidence in understanding HR policies and processes.
• Strong organisational skills and exceeding customer service expectations.
