Salary OTE: £65,000 per annum (Uncapped)

The Opportunity: Two Brands, One Vision WLMG Reading is evolving into a high-volume, multi-brand hub. Having established MG as a dominant force, we are now launching the highly anticipated Changan brand-a global leader in EV technology. We are seeking a General Sales Manager to head up this dual-franchise operation, balancing the established success of MG with a landmark brand launch.
The RoleA Hands-On Powerhouse We don't do "back-office" management. We need a proactive leader who is:
- A Dual-Brand Expert: Leading a team of 7 Sales Executives and 1 Sales Manager to deliver excellence across both franchises.
- Showroom Centric: You'll be in the mix-coaching on the floor, stacking deals, and "second-facing" customers to ensure every lead is maximized.
- Process Driven: Taking full day-to-day control of a 7-day retail business, ensuring our proven processes are followed to the letter.
- Brand Ambassador: Serving as the key point of contact for our brand partners to ensure WLMG Reading remains their flagship retailer.
Operational Leadership
- Deliver volume and profit targets for both MG and Changan.
- Oversee all revenue streams: New & Used vehicles, Fleet, and Finance & Insurance (F&I).
- Manage, motivate, and mentor the sales team, fostering a culture of accountability where the WLMG sales process is non-negotiable.
Sales & Coaching
- Spend the majority of your time on the showroom floor, providing side-by-side coaching.
- Take accountability for stock turn, forecourt presentation, and manufacturer audit compliance.
- Work closely with the Directors and Leadership Team to deliver accurate financial forecasting and reporting.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with MG and Changan brand representatives.
- Ensure all manufacturer standards and training requirements are met by the entire team.
