At DHL Supply Chain, we don't just move products - we power some of the UK's most recognisable brands to deliver for their customers every single day. We're looking for a General Manager to take full ownership of a large, complex and high performing warehouse operation and lead from the front in a fast paced, multi customer environment where no two days are the same. This is a role for a proven leader who thrives on scale, challenge and impact. You'll be trusted to run the site as your own - shaping the culture, strengthening customer relationships, and driving operational excellence across a 350,000 sq ft facility.

A TYPICAL DAY
  • Lead the end to day warehouse operation across inbound, storage, picking, packing and dispatch within a large scale, multi user facility.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring consistently high CXM scores and service delivery.
  • Drive operational performance across a 350,000 sq ft site, balancing productivity, cost and service across multiple customer contracts.
  • Engage, coach and lead a well established team of 450+ colleagues, creating a high performance and safety first culture.
  • Navigate the complexities of an Upper Tier COMAH environment, ensuring compliance, risk management and safe operational practices.
  • Lead commercial activities such as pay negotiations and align operational delivery with contractual expectations.
  • Manage change and peak planning (including site integrations and seasonal spikes), ensuring stability through periods of disruption.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
  • Have proven experience leading large scale warehouse operations, ideally within complex, multi user environments.
  • Are confident making autonomous decisions and taking full ownership of site performance and customer outcomes.
  • Thrive in balancing competing customer expectations while optimising space, productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Bring resilience and adaptability, with the ability to lead through change, ambiguity and periods of disruption.
  • Are strong relationship builders, able to influence senior stakeholders and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Have a track record of driving engagement, culture and performance across large, diverse teams.
  • Ideally have knowledge of COMAH or regulated environments, or the technical capability to quickly adapt to them.
WHY JOIN US?
  • Access to a company car or car allowance scheme.
  • Generous pension scheme with an 8% employer contribution and a 4% employee contribution.
  • Free confidential 24/7 GP consultations.
  • Hundreds of retail and lifestyle discounts.
  • Affordable loans, savings schemes and free mortgage advice.
