Key Responsibilities

1. Providing strategic and operational leadership, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
2. Managing a workforce of over 100 employees, including oversight of recruitment, training, development, performance management, succession planning, and disciplinary procedures.
3. Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction across all business areas through high-quality service and operational excellence.
4. Controlling operational budgets, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring business and profitability targets are met or exceeded.
5. Leading continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process enhancements to increase operational efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
6. Overseeing departmental functions to ensure alignment with company objectives and that performance targets are achieved.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Extensive senior management experience within an engineering environment, particularly in sheet metal, fabrication, and laser cutting operations.
• Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability, with a strong focus on customer service excellence.
• Deep understanding of management profit and loss accounts, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to improve financial and operational performance.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a collaborative leadership style capable of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
• Ability to influence and build relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers, creating a competitive advantage.
• Energetic, confident, and hands-on leadership approach, with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire others.

Salary and Location

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000+ depending on experience
