Job Description

Reporting to the Property Surveyor and Director, we are seeking an exceptional General Manager, Associate Director, to lead the on site team across Mode Estate and deliver a premium workspace experience within some of Central London's most prestigious commercial assets.

This is a high profile leadership role with direct responsibility for one flagship asset and accountability for service charge budgets of circa £8m. You will oversee day to day estate operations, ensuring our workspaces are clean, safe, sustainable and customer focused, while driving innovation and commercial performance across the portfolio.

Getting the basics right is important. You are tasked with delivering a premium workspace experience for our customers. To do that, and by working closely with your team and the service partners, you will have responsibility for making sure our workspaces are clean, healthy, safe and secure. In addition, you will manage by example, setting the standard for delivering brilliant customer experiences by creating productive and enjoyable environments not just at Mode and also in some of our most prestigious workspaces across Central London. You will support and mentor your team to promote and maintain positive relationships with our customers and local communities.

The Role
  • Lead and develop the on site team, including Technical Services and Building Management.
  • Deliver an outstanding, proactive customer experience that strengthens client and occupier relationships.
  • Manage financial and commercial risk, including budget setting, service charge management and reporting.
  • Oversee service partners (cleaning, security, MEP, etc.), ensuring SLAs and performance standards are consistently met.
  • Drive sustainability, energy efficiency and innovation initiatives across the estate.
  • Contribute to asset strategy and identify opportunities for commercial growth and revenue generation.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and operational excellence across all managed assets.
