Gastroenterology Locum Consultant Needed Near Manchester

On behalf of the hospital, based near Manchester, I'm looking for an experienced Gastroenterology Locum Consultant who could join the friendly department for a minimum of 3 months.

This is an ongoing locum post, with a minimum availability of 3 months required.

The post holder will provide a high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy service, as well as a high-quality outpatient service, including patient administration and management of gastroenterology and medical in-patients on the gastroenterology ward.

The post holders will be supported by a GI secretarial team, will have an office, and will have access to a PC with internet. The fixed weekly expectation is likely to include:

1. 3 outpatient clinics a week
2. 3 endoscopy sessions
3. Dedicated PAs will be allocated for SPAs
4. On-call activity is optional but available
5. No cross-site involvement
6. JAG accreditation & KPI's are required to apply for this role

• Inpatient care is provided in a 30-bedded ward
• The fully JAG-accredited endoscopy unit provides both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and ERCP.
• The department has strong multidisciplinary links for cancer referrals and patient care.
• Our Specialist Nurses lead a dedicated IBD service.

Negotiable pay terms, depending on experience.
