This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled gardens team responsible for maintaining and developing a stunning 300 acre historic landscape.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain ornamental gardens, borders, lawns and landscaped areas to an exceptional standard
- Carry out planting, pruning, training, soil preparation, irrigation and general horticultural maintenance
- Assist with the continued development and improvement of the estate gardens
- Support the maintenance of the kitchen garden, specialist planting areas and seasonal displays
- Operate horticultural equipment safely while maintaining high standards of presentation across the estate
- Work independently and as part of the gardens team, ensuring excellent attention to detail in all aspects of garden maintenance
Our client manages a prestigious country estate set within a magnificent 300-acre historic landscape. With significant investment in the gardens and ongoing development projects, they are committed to maintaining exceptional horticultural standards while providing a supportive environment where staff can continue to develop their skills and careers.
The Candidate:- Previous professional gardening or horticultural experience with strong plant knowledge
- RHS Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) and practical skills in pruning, planting, soil preparation and irrigation
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for maintaining high-quality ornamental gardens
- Able to work both independently and as part of a professional team
- Positive, reliable and proactive approach to work with a commitment to high standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Salary up to £33,000depending on experience
- Fixed term contract (24 months)
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
- Overtime paid when required
