Future Programmes Tooling and Fixturing Engineer

Location: Bristol, UK Full-Time

As a Manufacturing Engineer in the Future Programmes Team, you will develop manufacturing plans to execute and implement solutions for new and innovative requirements, often in ambiguous contexts. You will generate manufacturing processes and methods capable of meeting business and customer requirements. You will engage with a broad network of internal and external contacts, including the supply chain, to achieve project objectives through technical work package management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new or improved components for manufacturing.
  • Perform 3D modeling and detailed drawing creation using NX CAD software.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, collaborate across teams, and stay updated on emerging manufacturing technologies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Develop new tooling for component manufacturing.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for tooling projects.
  • Prepare certification reports, design records, and define layouts considering materials, weights, and tolerances.
  • Perform tool validation and troubleshooting on the production floor.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing methods; advise on novel manufacturing techniques and liaise with supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, promoting a safety-first culture.
