Fund Accountant Team Leader

Overview

Eden Scott's client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fund Accountant Team Leader to join their Edinburgh-based operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in overseeing fund accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of fund accountants, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
• Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly fund accounting activities including NAV calculations, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Drive process improvements and support automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with third-party administrators and custodians to ensure service quality.

Person Specification

• Proven experience in fund accounting within financial services.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent understanding of financial instruments, fund structures, and accounting principles.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships across teams and functions.
