Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Design Engineer with a strong background in metrology, system design, and algorithm development. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and optimizing metrology solutions to enhance the precision and performance of complex lithographic and semiconductor manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine functional designs for metrology applications, ensuring accuracy, stability, and performance in high-precision systems.
• Define system-level specifications, models, and algorithms to improve measurement and control performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, physicists, and system architects, to integrate metrology solutions into high-tech manufacturing processes.
• Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements through simulations, experiments, and data analysis.
• Develop functional specifications, requirement documents, and test plans to ensure compliance with system requirements.
• Support system integration, troubleshooting, and validation efforts to achieve robust and reliable performance.
• Stay up to date with advancements in metrology, control systems, and semiconductor industry trends to drive innovation.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in system modeling, control theory, or signal processing.
• Create functional specifications, requirement documents
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++ for data analysis and algorithm development.
• Experience with optical metrology, interferometry, sensors, or semiconductor manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
