Functional Assessor (PIP/WCA)

Location: Guildford

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (Depending on location) rising by £1,000 at 6/12 months - Performance based

Roles for Nurses, OTs, Physios, Paramedics, Pharmacists. Full Time - Hybrid (Mon-Fri). Part time available.

Become a Functional Assessor, supporting individuals applying for benefits doing either Work Capability Assessments (WCA) or Personal Independent Payment (PIP) on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Your Role

• Assess claimants' health and daily living via phone and face to face appointments for capability to work and work related activities or daily living and mobility.
• Review medical evidence and compile detailed reports for the DWP.
• Use clinical expertise in a role that values quality, not speed.

Essential Criteria

• Registered Nurse, OT, Physio, Pharmacist or Paramedic.
• Minimum 1 year post registration experience in an adult setting.
• NMC/HCPC registered.
• Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
• Confident communicator & report writer - IT literate.
• Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
• Experience working with complex health conditions.
