About the Company: Our Consulting client is seeking a highly skilled Functional Consultant for a 6 month contract opportunity with their Banking client. The working arrangement would be onsite with the client in Malaga, Spain. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Functional Analyst with a strong understanding of cash management and bank reconciliation processes. This is a mid-level role ideal for candidates with a structured mindset and technical appreciation. The candidate must be fluent in both Spanish and English and capable of producing high-quality documentation in both languages.

Your Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document business processes related to cash products, bank statements, and payment systems.
• Create and maintain user manuals and functional documentation.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of financial messaging standards.
• Support testing and validation of electronic banking and reconciliation tools.
• Assist in process improvements related to bank reconciliation and electronic statements.

Your Background:

• 1-3 years of experience in a functional or business analyst role, preferably in banking or finance.
• Strong writing skills in both Spanish and English.
• Proven experience in developing user manuals and structured documentation.
• Solid understanding of cash products, including statements and payment instruments.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Working knowledge of SWIFT MT101, XML formats, MT940/942, BAI2, and Camt.053/052.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes.
• Experience with electronic banking platforms is a strong plus.
