We are recruiting a full-time SEND Learning Support Assistant to work within specialist education settings supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, autism and additional needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in education, care, support work, youth work or psychology graduates looking to gain experience in specialist education.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group SEND learning support
• Support learners with autism, SEMH and additional needs
• Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
• Support learners with classroom activities and learning tasks
• Provide care support including personal care where required
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and support teams

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people in education, care or support roles
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Calm, patient and supportive approach
• Passion for inclusive education and supporting SEND learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
