Full-Stack GitOps Engineer
Must have strong experience in Kong and Envoy within a banking environment.
Location: Glasgow or London - 5 days per week onsite
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £425 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
We are recruiting for a talented Full-Stack/GitOps Engineer to join a major banking programme based in Glasgow.
This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong full-stack development experience, modern Front End and Back End technologies, API gateway configuration and GitOps-based delivery.
Banking or financial services experience is essential.
Key Skills & Experience Required

Strong TypeScript and JavaScript development experience

Hands-on experience building applications using React.js and Next.js

Backend development experience with Python, Golang or Java

Experience building schema-driven UIs and services

Strong understanding of OpenAPI Specification (OAS) and/or JSON Schema

Professional experience configuring API gateways, including:

Kong
-
Envoy
-
Akamai/CloudFront
-

Strong hands-on GitOps experience
Desirable Skills

Exposure to Akamai/CloudFront, including CDN, WAF and edge configuration

Experience with drift detection and desired-state reconciliation
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile banking programme, helping to drive modern engineering practices and GitOps-based API gateway delivery.
Please note: This is a 5-day-per-week onsite role in London. Banking/financial services experience is desired.
Rate: £425/day Inside IR35 | 6-month contract
