Passionfruit helps teams across the food industry handle daily sustainability, safety, and compliance tasks faster and with less effort.

We use Gen AI to automate repetitive work like filling in customer questionnaires and preparing for audits, all inside the tools they already use, like Excel, Word, and online portals.

Our software fits right into their daily routine and gets smarter the more it's used. This means teams can work up to three times faster, feel more confident in their answers, and focus on what really matters: making an impact.

We're a hands-on, hybrid-friendly team (Rotterdam HQ + remote), and we care deeply about good code, rapid iteration, and building with empathy.

What you'll do

• Build core features: Iterate on React/Next.js front-end components and Node.js/Python services used by daily users.
• Prototype and integrate LLM-powered agents: that interact with evolving knowledge graphs and automate key tasks. Help us build intelligent systems that understand, respond, and get smarter over time through real-world use.
• Develop and maintain: our web application and extensions to streamline end-to-end compliance workflows.
• Own infrastructure: Manage our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), cloud setup (AWS/Azure), and ensure logging, monitoring, performance, and reliability.
• Shape the roadmap: Collaborate daily with founders to translate customer needs into features and continuously refine our product direction.
• Build strong engineering culture: Mentor new engineers, enforce coding standards, and champion software craftsmanship across the team.

• Python, Node.js/TypeScript, React/Next.js
• AWS or Azure (cloud), GitHub Actions (CI/CD)
• PostgreSQL & NoSQL
• Proprietary data sync library optimized for speed and offline support using WebSockets + delta packets
• Monitoring via PostHog (app), LangWatch (LLM)
• Vector DBs) & GraphDB's OpenAI/Hugging Face APIs.
• Office 365 add-ins (Word/Excel), Chrome/Edge browser extensions

Who you are

• You've shipped production-grade full-stack applications (React/Next + Node.js).
• You know how to deploy and scale applications on AWS or Azure (serverless, Docker, or Kubernetes).
• You're passionate about Gen AI-RAG, LLMs, or agents
• You Enjoy iterating quickly without sacrificing code quality.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

• Salary Range: €4500-€6000. Depending on experience.
