Full Stack & DevOps Chapter Lead

We are seeking an experienced Digital Full Stack & DevOps Chapter Lead to drive our engineering capability, manage cross functional teams, and embed best practices across our digital platforms. This role combines people leadership, technical expertise, and strategic direction, with responsibility for leading software engineers, DevOps engineers, Product Owner, and Delivery Lead.
The successful candidate will shape the future of our microservices and API ecosystem, build engineering excellence aligned to TM Forum Open API guidelines, and ensure scalable, reliable, and secure digital platforms for the business while leading CI/CD strategies.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Chapter Development- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, DevOps engineers, Product Owner, and Delivery Lead.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and knowledge sharing across the digital engineering chapter.
- Shape career development paths and provide coaching for engineers to help them flourish in their roles.
- Collaborate with senior leadership (Head of Digital Engineering, IT Director) to align engineering strategy with business objectives.
- Own the design, development, and delivery of microservices and APIs, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with TM Forum Open API standards.
- Oversee the implementation and maturity of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, cloud environments, observability, and site reliability.
- Ensure security, compliance, and performance standards are embedded into engineering practices.
- Guide architectural decisions in collaboration with architects and senior engineers to ensure modern, scalable digital platforms.
- Work closely with the platform Product Owner, Architects, DevOps engineers, and Delivery Lead to ensure product roadmaps are delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring engineering output aligns with customer and business needs.
- Establish and track engineering KPIs and DevOps metrics (deployment frequency, MTTR, release stability) to drive performance improvements.
- Proven experience as an Engineering Lead, Chapter Lead, DevOps Manager, or Software Engineering Manager.
- Strong background in microservices architecture, API development, and cloud native engineering.
- Knowledge of TM Forum guidelines (Open APIs, SID, etc.) is a strong advantage.
- Hands on expertise in modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, observability).
- Familiarity with DevOps toolchains (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Argo CD).
- Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and people leadership skills, with proven success in developing engineering talent.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scaled Agile environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- A leadership role with influence across engineering, DevOps, and digital delivery.
