Job Description
Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and safety-focused Fuel Systems Engineer to join our team at LCM Environmental. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of fuel management and compliance services across the UK, including gauge installation, tank testing, fuel sampling, and pump maintenance. You will work on complex projects that require technical expertise, attention to detail, and strict adherence to health and safety standards.

This is a hands-on position that involves travel across the UK (including overnight stays) and working in varied environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fuel sector or a similar industry, combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of fuel systems and compliance requirements
Ability to work flexibly and travel nationwide
Forecourt experience (preferred)

Duties

Fuel System Maintenance & Testing

Install and maintain gauges on fuel storage tanks.
Conduct fuel sampling and tank testing (including pressure and vacuum tests).
Perform OFTEC tank inspections and fuel pump maintenance.

Fuel Quality & Cleaning

Carry out fuel filtering and polishing to maintain product integrity.
Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment (up to 6000 psi).

Safety & Compliance

Work in accordance with task-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Report safety concerns and suggest additional works where required.

Coordination & Reporting

Collaborate with Operations and Project Managers to ensure compliance with site rules.
Complete detailed reports of completed works and recommendations.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 2+ years' experience in fuel systems or similar engineering role.
Strong knowledge of health and safety practices and compliance.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and flexible hours.
IT literacy (including mobile apps for job management).
Comfortable working autonomously or as part of a team.

Qualifications

Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
Forecourt experience (preferred).

Personal Attributes

Safety-focused and detail-oriented.
Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
Adaptable and willing to work away from home (up to 4 nights per week).
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
