Front-End Software Engineer (M/V)

Act-3D is seeking a talented Front-End Software Engineer to develop and enhance the user interface for our modern web-based solutions, including our cloud-based 3D asset management and distribution platform. Your role:

Act-3D's ecosystem includes legacy desktop applications and modern web-based solutions that cater to the architectural and 3D visualization industries. You will play a pivotal role in developing and refining the user-facing aspects of our software systems, ensuring intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing interfaces that contribute to overall scalability, reliability, and seamless user experiences. You will engage in all stages of front-end software development, from conceptualization and design collaboration to implementation, testing, and deployment.

Main responsibilities:

Implement and enhance the user interface using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate GraphQL APIs for authentication, configuration, licensing, and interaction with cloud services.

Work with product teams and designers to translate concepts and requirements into robust and user-friendly front-end solutions.

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Contribute to best practices for automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery, specifically as they relate to front-end development.

Stay abreast of emerging web and cloud technologies, particularly new front-end frameworks, libraries, and techniques, to integrate relevant advancements into our systems.

What you bring to the table:

Proven experience as a Front-End Software Engineer or in a similar role for a minimum of 3-5 years.

Strong proficiency in frontend development skills in React, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Solid understanding of building and consuming GraphQL APIs.

Experience with modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) from a front-end integration perspective.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker) as they pertain to front-end workflows.

Fluency in English is a must; knowledge of Dutch is preferred but not essential.

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field.

Background or interest in 3D software, architecture, engineering, or related domains is a plus.

Ability to work in-person from our HQ in Sassenheim for 3-4 days a week minimum (this is not a remote position!).
