Senior Frontend Developer (React/Gatsby)

Location: Madrid is preferred but open to remote options

Type: Contract - 6 Months +

We're seeking a seasoned Frontend Developer with deep expertise in React.js, TypeScript, and CSS, ideally with experience in Gatsby.js. You'll lead the development of high-quality, scalable web applications and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

The initial contract is for 6 months with excellent extension opportunities. This position will be 2 days a week on-site in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities

• Build responsive, performant web apps using React.js and Gatsby.js
• Implement and manage complex state management solutions
• Develop reusable UI components with Storybook
• Write and maintain unit/integration tests with Jest
• Integrate with GraphQL APIs
• Optimize for performance, scalability, and accessibility
• Participate in code reviews and stay current with frontend trends

Requirements

• 5+ years with React.js and modern frontend development
• Strong TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS/Sass skills
• Experience with React Context API or Redux
• Proficient in Git and collaborative workflows
• Solid testing experience with Jest

Nice to Have

• Experience with Gatsby.js and AEM
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Netlify)
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and additional testing tools (e.g., Cypress)
