Position Description

The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. We collaborate with global technology companies, SMEs, and academia to deliver optimal solutions.

CGI is seeking a Frontend JavaScript Engineer to join an exciting new programme (BOREALIS) on a full-time permanent basis. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need UK Security Clearance or be eligible for it. This position is hybrid, based in Leatherhead.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML5.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, DevSecOps).
• Transform complex scientific and engineering data into intuitive, visually appealing interfaces.
• Engage with diverse projects, learn new technologies, and contribute to cutting-edge solutions in the space sector.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML5.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with a love for learning.

Highly Desirable Skills

• Experience with Angular 12+ and Bootstrap.
• Back-End exposure in Java.

Additional Assets

• Familiarity with Astro Space UX Design System.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of big data technologies, machine learning frameworks, or orbit dynamics is a plus.
