A selective grammar school in Ely is seeking a confident French specialist to join a high-performing languages team. The school wants students to become accurate communicators while developing a genuine interest in French-speaking cultures.

The successful teacher will deliver French across KS3-KS5, strengthen speaking, listening, reading and writing, and prepare examination groups for GCSE and post-16 study. Lessons should combine secure grammar and vocabulary with authentic material such as journalism, film, literature and contemporary issues. There will also be opportunities to support exchanges, language clubs and cultural events.

We are looking for a well-qualified teacher with strong spoken and written French, sound knowledge of the relevant examination specifications and the ability to stretch academically able pupils. You should also be patient and encouraging with students who need additional confidence.
