Freight Driver

Vacancy: Freight Driver. Category B License

Location : Holywell Hospital Site, Antrim

Rate : £12.21 per hour, plus holiday pay and weekly paid wages

Hours: Covering 8.15am - 4.15pm Monday - Friday. Working hours will be 37.5 per week depending on working hours required.

Ongoing temporary contract reviewed to extend after 3 months

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post

Experience of multi-drop deliveries

Possess a full current unrestricted driving licence, i.e. out of R plates, for use in UK with category B driving entitlement.

Successfully complete Trust Driving Test. Transport will administer driving test for successful candidate in a suitable Trust vehicle

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Transfer of Pharmacy items, office furniture / equipment, mail and items between Hospitals & Community Facilities

Carry out routine maintenance of vehicles driven & minor running repairs (i.e fuel/oil/water checking and topping up, tyre pressure / condition, vehicle cleaning).

Complete any records in relation to the performance / usage of the vehicle per journey, e.g miles travelled petrol used, oil replaced, patient/clients carried, loading etc
