Role Overview

We're looking for a Freelance Social Media Manager to join JAAQ on a 2-month contract and play a pivotal role in bringing our social strategy to life.

This isn't about posting for the sake of it - this is about crafting purposeful, platform-first content that builds community, drives engagement, and elevates JAAQ's mission to save a billion lives.

You'll be responsible for helping develop, create, and publish best-in-class social content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, acting as an authoritative voice within the social team.

In the absence of the Head of Social, you'd be confident in approving content, ensuring our output is consistent with our standards and non-negotiables of what "good" social looks like.

Be an excellent briefer to our junior video editor. Your briefs should be clear, concise, and laser-focused on delivering content that hooks, retains, informs, and leaves the audience feeling something deeply.

You should be passionate about social video storytelling - this is our non-negotiable. Can you take something raw and turn it into something profound alongside the video team?

You must also be deeply familiar with what's delivering on social right now. And finally - can you sweat assets? The trailer is done, but what about other short-form clips you can create off the back of soundbites? Your job is to maximise impact from every piece of content.

Collaboration will be key. You'll work closely with the creative and content teams to manage calendars, align campaigns, and keep the wheels of production moving. You'll also support partnership projects, contributing to ideation and execution, ensuring our partners see JAAQ as the innovative, creative, and reliable collaborator we are.

Ultimately, you'll be a champion of our social strategy - someone who doesn't just understand the vision but is hungry to deliver it day in, day out.
