Electric Square is seeking an accomplished, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Senior Technical Designer to join our Brighton-based team working on an exciting, critically acclaimed franchise. The role requires you to be located within European time zones.

Role Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to architect new features, ensuring requirements are met
• Understand, expand, or create new game systems as needed
• Perform rapid prototyping to validate game ideas

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience with at least one released project as a technical designer working with UE5
• Expert knowledge of the Gameplay Ability System
• Proficiency in creating and modifying GAS attribute sets in C++
• Experience extending class functionality with C++ to enhance the Gameplay Ability System
• Advanced blueprinting skills, including supporting networking and optimization
• Ability to create tools for designers using blueprinting
• Strong debugging skills and ability to provide technical feedback and set standards
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to less technical team members
