Job Title: Freelance PLC Programmer - Maritime Project

Location: Zuid Holland, Netherlands

Contract Type: Full-time, 12-month contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, program, and maintain PLC systems for maritime and offshore applications, ensuring the control and automation of key vessel operations.

• Work on PLC programming for various maritime systems, including navigation, propulsion, cargo handling, and safety systems.

• Troubleshoot and optimize PLC programs to ensure efficient and reliable operation in challenging maritime environments.

• Provide support for system integration, including communication between PLCs and other onboard automation systems.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of PLC systems within broader maritime projects.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems, with experience in maritime or offshore applications.

• Proficiency with PLC programming languages (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, Rockwell Automation) and HMI/SCADA systems.

• Experience in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting PLC systems in industrial and maritime environments.

• Familiarity with industry standards for maritime automation and control systems (e.g., IEC 61131-3, NORSOK).

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
