Freelance Interpreter - Oromo ( Afan)

Dals is searching for qualified Interpreters to join our growing community. This role is freelance - you will be registered on a self employed basis and set your own hours, travel distance, and number of assignments.

As a freelance interpreter, you will attend appointments in person to assist our clients and their non English speaking service users in essential settings such as healthcare, legal, social services, and other public sectors.

Responsibilities

• Interpret live conversations between clients and limited English speakers.
• Support communication in medical, legal, social services, and public sector settings.
• Ensure accurate, confidential, and culturally sensitive interpretation.
• Use our interpreting app to manage availability and assignments.
• Deliver excellent service that empowers people to access vital services.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Oromo (Afan).
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Right to work within the UK.
