Freelance - Risk Officer

For one of our clients, we are looking for a freelance Risk Officer.

Teals Consulting is a Belgian consulting company active in Financial Services, Energy, Manufacturing and Retail sectors.

Key activities

• Maintain the key risk frameworks, including Risk Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Third-Party Risk Management, ensuring policy implementation across business units.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and report on organizational risks, while ensuring timely remediation of risk-related issues through action plans.
• Report all breaches of the Risk Management Framework, Risk Appetite Statement, and internal controls to the management.
• Coordinate internal and external risk-related activities, including audits, the outsourced Information Security function, and the Audit and Risk Committee.
• Oversee the Risk function, supervising the Risk Officer and fostering risk awareness through training and support to staff.
• Monitor the service providers quality using KPI's/KRI's, and support IT risk and control frameworks aligned with business continuity.

Required qualifications

Technical skills: Proven experience in operational risk management.

Languages skills: fluent in English and in French and / or Dutch.

Academic background: Master in Risk Management / Business Administration / Engineering / or a related field.
