Job Description

Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world's hardest problems.

The quantum computer we envision is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit. Compared to other platforms, cat qubits can implement quantum error correction autonomously!

We are at the forefront of the quantum race, competing with tech giants like Google and IBM. After securing €100 million in funding in 2025, we are expanding rapidly.

Our team of over 100 physicists, PhD students, engineers, and professionals is united by a shared goal. Are you a quantum pioneer? Join us to reshape the future!

Initially operating in academic cleanrooms, Alice & Bob is now building its own prototyping cleanroom in Ile de France, starting operations in early 2026.

This facility will accelerate design iterations and enhance nanofabrication capabilities, including performance improvements and 3D integration.

The "Foundries and process integration" team within the Quantum Hardware department will focus on:

  • Supporting nanofabrication processes by data analysis, modeling, and failure analysis
  • Collaborating with foundries for scaled chip supply

As the Leader of the Foundries and process integration team, you will play a key role in realizing the company's QPU designs. We seek an experienced engineer with a strong background in semiconductor or superconductor process integration to lead and inspire.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support and optimize internal nanofabrication processes through data analysis and testing
  • Drive projects for manufacturing process industrialization, including documentation and MES deployment
  • Coordinate failure analysis and develop process documentation
  • Lead process integration activities with internal teams and external foundries
  • Manage collaborations and budgets with foundries
  • Stay updated on technological innovations and build ecosystem relationships
  • Manage and mentor the team, fostering growth and excellence
  • Promote continuous improvement in processes and organization
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related (PhD a plus)
  • 5+ years experience in Process Integration or similar
  • Strong nanofabrication background and cleanroom experience
  • Management experience and leadership skills
  • Deep knowledge of nanofabrication processes and industrial tools (SPC, FMEA)
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage organizational aspects
  • Nice to have: experience in quantum technologies, JMP, and Python
Regular work inside cleanrooms is required. BENEFITS:
  • 25 days vacation + RTT
  • Transport and wellness allowances
  • Health benefits with Helium/Axa
  • Meal vouchers and kitchen access
  • Parental support and crèche assistance
  • Flexible remote work up to 40%
  • Language courses and mental health support
  • Membership with Urban Sports Club
Recruitment Process:
  • Screening call with Talent Acquisition
  • Interview with the Experimentalist Team Leader
  • Technical presentation with the team
  • Leadership and fit interview

Research indicates women may hesitate to apply if they don't meet all listed requirements. We value diverse teams that innovate beyond ticking boxes. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and experiences.

Join one of France's most innovative startups at an early stage, and be part of a passionate, collaborative team dedicated to building the first universal quantum computer!
