Forcepoint SME - Secure Web Gateway

My Client is an investment bank based in London; they are looking for a contract Forcepoint SME/Secure Web Gateway SME/Proxy SME to join the team. It is essential that the contractor has Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway experience. They need to have experience of the on-premise product (not the cloud product).

This is an initial 6 month contract paying £550 per day, hybrid working (2 days a week in the London office).

Key skills:

• Proven Forcepoint Web Security Gateway SME with experience in complex, multi-regional enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in Proxy technologies (explicit/transparent, PAC, SSL decryption, authentication) and secure web gateway operations.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and authentication methods (Kerberos, SAML).
• Skilled in translating business and security requirements into scalable Proxy designs, including cloud migration planning.
• Experienced in producing high-quality technical documentation (designs, runbooks, DR) with excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end life cycle of the secure web gateway across EMEA, covering architecture, implementation, upgrades, operations and decommissioning.
• Lead the transition to a cloud-first Proxy strategy, including solution design, migration planning and execution.
• Act as accountable service owner, ensuring availability, performance, compliance and continuous improvement of the Proxy platform.
• Develop secure, standards-aligned designs and operating models (patching, DR, capacity, incident response) in line with ISO/NIST frameworks.
• Support business-as-usual operations through on-call cover, patching, cross-team collaboration and audit/regulatory engagement.
