FLT Driver

Job Title:FLT Driver / Handballing

Location:Northampton, regularly commuting between Tillbrook and Northampton SDC

Requirements:Driving License required as commuting between 2 sites in Northampton

Rotating shifts:Monday to Friday, Mornings - 6am to 2pm, Afternoons - 2pm to 10pm (Weekly)

Weekends work required occasionally.

Pay Rate:Days - £13.01 per hour, Afternoons - £13.41 per hour, weekly pay

Contract:Temporary, Temp to Perm considered after 12-weeks

Core Responsibilities

• Receiving & Loading:Unloading incoming deliveries and inspecting for damaged or missing items.
• Storage & Inventory:Organising stock, moving items to designated storage areas using forklifts or pallet trucks, and updating inventory records via systems or scanners.
• Picking & Packing:Efficiently locating items, packing orders securely, and scanning products for shipment.
• Safety & Maintenance:Adhering to health and safety regulations (manual handling, PPE), maintaining a clean, tidy work environment, and reporting hazards.
• Documentation:Completing paperwork, managing delivery notes, and logging data on systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Physical Stamina:Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy goods
• Driving License Required
• Attention to Detail:Ensuring accurate picking and packing to reduce errors.
• Teamwork and Communication:Working efficiently with team members, supervisors, and drivers.
• Time Management:Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Reach or Counterbalance License advantageous but not essential if you have strong warehouse experience
