Fixed Asset Analyst

Reporting to the Group Fixed Asset Finance Manager / ESG Finance Lead the Fixed Asset Analyst will be responsible for the financial review and analysis of capital expenditure projects, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of fixed asset controls and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Performance review of fixed asset projects, spend analysis and target review.
• Perform a business partner linkage role with the hotel teams to ensure that funding requests are fully supported and accurate.
• Managing the financial accuracy and integrity of controls within the capital expenditure function.
• Ongoing financial analysis to include cost benefit and return of investment of funding requests.
• Monitoring and tracking the life cycle of assets from inception to end of life or disposal.
• Assessment of fixed asset calculations to ensure accuracy of the data and generation of reports for stakeholders.
• Completing ad-hoc reviews or project tasks as and when required.
• Assemble, gather, and disseminate data from various sources both internal and external and formulate reports and analytics which will enable decision making and performance management.
• Ability to add value by proactively identifying potential opportunities or issues and assist in the implementation of both process and performance improvement.
• Ability to take new processes and flows, identify key elements and develop and implement plans for managing and controlling.

What you'll need

• Third level qualification in a related field.
• Qualified / Partly Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
• IT skills - proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with data analytic tools would be advantageous.
• Ability to work on own initiative while also being a good team player.
• Commercial mind-set and value-add focus.
