Job Description
Role: Fitter - Assembly and Test
Location: Ansty Park, Coventry
Rate: £19.59/hr - rising to £20.28/hr once fully trained
PAYE - accrue 25 days holiday per annum + bank holidays
Duration: 6 months rolling contract
Working within a team of final assembly and test fitters, building thermal management heat exchangers for various customers within the aerospace industry. The role will require working to high standards using standard operating procedures, compliance to production acceptance testing, and attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assembly and testing of heat exchangers including pressure relief valves
- Hydraulic and pneumatic pressure testing of various units using air under water tanks and proof pressure rigs
- Fluid flow testing and cleanliness testing of heat exchangers
- Problem solving and maintaining good house keeping in line with HSE procedures
Key Accountabilities:
- Reporting unsafe conditions, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Working within the business quality engineering standards, ensuring all non-conformances are reported
- Confirming all operations on SAP system to record efficiency and ensure daily targets are achieved in line with day by the hour targets
- Visual inspection
- TPM , 5 S+ activities, and participation in Kaizen events
